Manduca brasiliensis is confined to the Atlantic Forest region of southeastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, and northern Argentina. The wingspan is 72-120 mm. The sides of the thorax and upper portion of the head and front wing are greyish; a broader black median band on the upper portion of the hind wing. Common species; most records are from the hot and humid austral summer, November through February.
